FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Kurtis Group to See Big Changes in 2016
Jacksonville Beach, Fla. (March 2, 2016). The namesake of The Kurtis Group (TKG) will be stepping down as President/Creative Director effective March 1, 2016. After 30 years leading the award-winning Jacksonville Beach advertising boutique, Kurtis Loftus will be taking a full-time position as Director of Deck The Chairs, Inc. (DTC), a nonprofit he founded in 2013.
“This is a very exciting time for me,” explains Kurtis. “I have the great fortune of being able to look back on three decades of work in an industry I love. The Kurtis Group allowed me a chance to develop countless meaningful relationships while sharing my creative talents to help build small business both here and abroad.”
Known for his thoughtful approach to customer service and desire to seek exceptional results through collaboration, Kurtis has always been one who will go the extra mile to find success in everything he does. His philanthropic spirit and passion for the Beaches brought him alongside dozens of businesses and regional nonprofits who have benefited from his design expertise over the years. A giving heart and passion for community is what led Kurtis to launch Deck The Chairs, a one-of-a-kind, monthlong Beaches holiday light celebration.
“In order for Deck The Chairs to reach its full potential, the board determined we need a full-time director,” states Kurtis. “I have done everything possible to successfully handle my responsibilities as president of TKG and share time as the point person for Deck The Chairs. We are at max capacity with DTC and after two years of incredible expansion, it’s time for us to take the next logical step and bring on its first employee.”
Despite the major transition, TKG will not look much different in 2016 for its clients. Kurtis and his wife, Margaret will maintain ownership, and Kurtis will serve in an advisory capacity and maintain a consultative role on key accounts as needed. Margaret will continue in a full-time capacity as Chief Financial Officer.
Holly Smith-Hale, who has over 16 years agency experience in advertising and marketing, specializing in account service and strategic planning, and four-year tenure with TKG, will assume office as President of TKG. She will provide full leadership for its team of eight, oversee operations, client services, and manage future agency growth.
“I have worked alongside some talented client service managers and Holly is by far the most thorough, knowledgeable and well-respected professional in the business. I am grateful she is willing and ready to take the lead. I expect great things from Holly and the TKG team,” adds Kurtis.
TKG currently services a variety of local and regional clients representing various industries, including but not limited to, 26.2 with DONNA, Salt Life Food Shack, Beaches Watch, Equipment Share, Krystal Klean, Shoppe Artisan, Optimum Healthcare IT, Surfer, [The Bar], Airborn, River Garden and Tim Tebow Foundation.
